Ultrasonoghraphy is essential in the evaluation of uterine and ovarian health. It allows us to map uterine cysts and check for uterine fluid, which is a sign of inflammation. It is also very useful in pinpointing the optimum time for breeding during a heat. With ultrasound, we can detect pregnancy as early as 14-16 days and evaluate embryo vitality and health.

A Coggins Test for Equine Infectious Anemia is required for any horse crossing state lines, any horse that is sold, and all horses participating in an organized event like a show or group trail ride. The test is valid for the remainder of the calendar year. Remember to test early! It can take over a week to get results.
