Microchipping

The Medford Veterinary Clinic encourages microchipping of all indoor and outdoor pets. Having your pets microchipped can aid in getting your pet back to you in the event of them being lost.

* Placing a microchip is simple, relatively painless, and affordable.

A microchip with a unique number is placed under the skin of your pet by one of our veterinarians. The microchip number correlates to your contact information and is saved to a national database. If your pet was ever lost and ends up at a shelter, shelter personnel will scan for the microchip and will then know how to contact you to get your pet back to you safely.
